Inspection of Measuring Instruments

Inspection is a special type of a calibration of a measuring instrument comprising additional functional tests defined by the Rules concerning metrological requirements. It can only be carried out if the instrument has already been type tested in line with the Rules concerning metrological requirements and a corresponding type approval certificate has been issued.

SIQ has been accredited according to the ISO/IEC 17020 standard for the inspection of measuring instruments as a type A inspection body by the Dutch Accreditation Council RvA (Raad voor Accreditatie – document no. I-171) and received a Decision on appointment for performing conformity assessment procedures and regular and extraordinary verification of measuring instruments for electrical quantities, pressure and exhaust gases (no. 306-4/2004, 10 March 2004, and no. 6416-5/2008/6, 10 March 2008).
