Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

Electromagnetic compatibility means the ability of a device, unit of equipment, or system to operate correctly in its electromagnetic environment without causing excessive electromagnetic interference to anything in that environment.

Generally, the assessment of electromagnetic compatibility deals with:

  • Electromagnetic interference emissions: the phenomenon whereby electromagnetic interference is emitted from a device, unit of equipment, or system;
  • Electromagnetic immunity, which is the ability of a device, unit of equipment, or system to operate correctly in the presence of electromagnetic interference.

We provide professional, accurate, and prompt services that meet all of your EMC product testing and certification needs. Our measurements, test reports, and certificates assure your products’ EMC compatibility in all important markets. We can also provide partial testing and assistance in your product design processes.

Our professional staff is familiar with development trends in electromagnetic compatibility and our laboratory equipment is state-of-the-art.

SIQ is a Notified Body under the EMC Directive 2004/108/EC.
