The field of telecommunications technology is so specific, both in terms of technology and in terms of regulations, that ten years ago we decided to set up a special laboratory dedicated to this area, i.e., the laboratory for telecommunications devices. Today we can confidently say that we made the right decision, as our laboratory offers a broad range of certification services, enabling suppliers unhindered marketing and use of their products. We are also proud of the fact that our laboratory does not just offer services in the field of telecommunications and information technology, but creates a partnership with the customer.

SIQ is a Notified Body for R&TTE Directive (notification no. 1304).

• Technical assistance with:
      1. assessment of conformity of radio and telecommunication equipment with
          Slovene and European regulations; 
      2. drawing up a technical product file;
      3. the application of harmonised standards for individual device types;
      4. the contents of the declaration of conformity and marking of a device.
• Technical assistance in the design and development phase of new products in preparing risk analysis and determining the essential requirements of the R&TTE Directive (1999/05/EC).
• Issuing of a CE certificate of conformity for radio and telecommunications terminal equipment (technical file assessment and issue of a certificate / Expert Opinion according to Annex IV of the R&TTE Directive.
• Determining essential tests for radio equipment according to harmonised or non-harmonised standards of the R&TTE Directive (Annex III to the Directive). 
• Testing of radio devices according to the requirements of efficient use of the RF spectrum (according to the requirements of Article 3.2 of the Directive).
• Revision and assessment of the total quality assurance system in line with Annex V to the R&TTE Directive.
