CB Test Certificate
What is the CB Scheme?
The CB Scheme is a programme within the IECEE System which-based on a multilateral agreement among testing laboratories and certification bodies operating all over the world-supports the mutual recognition of test results relating to the safety and elecromagnetic compatibility of electrical and electronic devices.
It is effective in cases of the testing of electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility according to the relevant international IEC standards for electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility. It promotes the processes of harmonisation of national standards with international standards, and supports the membership of as large a number of certification bodies as possible all over the world. It is aimed at enabling manufacturers of end products unhindered trading based on the concept: "tested once, recognised everywhere".
Why should one acquire a CB Test Certificate?
With a CB Test Certificate and a pertinent test report, the supplier or manufacturer may obtain foreign national certificates with CB/IECEE Scheme members and beyond in a simpler, faster and easier way. As a matter of fact, the CB Test Certificate is becoming the fundamental document demonstrating product safety and its electromagnetic compatibility in the "business-to-business" marketing of electrical products.
