Davorin Kacian

Davorin Kacian, MSc in Security Studies, is a renowned expert with twenty-eight years of experience in the field of security. His work encompasses consulting services, audits, and training.

He has extensive experience in organizing and delivering of training, having worked as an assistant professor, lecturer, senior lecturer, and principal at the University of Security and the University of Applied Sciences in Velika Gorica, Croatia. During his career, he has taught nine courses in the fields of IT, alarm systems, information system security, and data protection and has lectured at conferences in 13 countries.

He has extensive knowledge of ISO standards, which he has demonstrated through more than 500 audits and over 100 training sessions attended by more than 1,000 participants. His portfolio includes courses for internal and lead auditors for ISO 9001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and ISO 45001. He is a certified PECB and IRCA trainer and the author of numerous scientific and professional papers.

He speaks Croatian, English, German, and Slovenian, which enables him to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. His excellent communication skills and deep technical expertise make him an outstanding lecturer and consultant.

He is a member of ISACA and (ISC)² and has received seven awards for Best Lecturer in undergraduate and specialist security studies.
