SIQ Enhances Testing Capabilities with ANSI C63.27
We are pleased to announce that SIQ has successfully completed the accreditation assessment by Slovenian Accreditation (SA) for testing according to ANSI C63.27 – Standard for Evaluation of Wireless Coexistence. The standard will be added to SIQ’s accredited scope with the next issue of the accreditation annex.
Wireless coexistence testing evaluates whether wireless devices can operate reliably in environments where multiple technologies share the same radio frequency spectrum. This is particularly important for wireless medical devices, which are often used in environments with many other wireless systems operating at the same time.
ANSI C63.27-2021 is recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a consensus standard relevant to medical devices and provides methods for evaluating the wireless coexistence of equipment incorporating RF communications.
With this new accredited testing capability, SIQ further strengthens its expertise in wireless technologies and provides manufacturers with more comprehensive support in evaluating the reliable operation of wireless devices in increasingly complex RF environments.
