In May 2022, SIQ completed the VCCI (Voluntary Control Council for Interference) registration for MME (multimedia equipment). Under the voluntary control measures of the VCCI Council, the members conduct MME (multimedia equipment) testing to verify compliance with emission standards before shipping a product to the Japanese market.
Measuring instruments registered with the VCCI Council are used for this compliance test. After determining the MME class (Class A or Class B) and submitting a conformity confirmation report, a member ships the product with the prescribed notice on the equipment and operating instructions. The VCCI Council performs sample tests on the notified devices on the market to verify their compliance with the VCCI regulations.
