Decoupling Clamps for Reliable EMC Testing in Accordance with IEC 61000-4-6:2023

Our latest development, the decoupling clamps, has been engineered in accordance with the latest edition of the IEC 61000-4-6:2023 (Edition 5.0) standard for conducted immunity testing.

The fifth edition of the IEC 61000-4-6 standard introduces specific requirements for decoupling clamps. It specifies that the decoupling must exceed 5 dB starting from 1 MHz, and more than 14 dB in a 50-ohm system. The SIQ decoupling clamps consistently exceed these thresholds, ensuring test validity and compliance with current basic standards.

Operating in the frequency range from 150 kHz to 80 MHz, the decoupling clamp is suitable for a wide range of conducted immunity testing applications. Whether testing information technology equipment, industrial devices, or consumer electronics, the decoupling clamps integrate seamlessly into your setup, ensuring reliable and reproducible test conditions.

Decoupling clamps are used for decoupling. The decoupling networks shall be used on all cables not selected for the test, but connected to the EUT or AEs, or both.

The decoupling clamps are already in use in SIQ’s own ISO/IEC 17025-accredited EMC laboratory, where they contribute to reliable, repeatable, and compliant immunity tests.

In addition to their design for compliance with IEC 61000-4-6:2023, the decoupling clamp was developed in close collaboration with SIQ accredited calibration laboratory. This facility is staffed by a team of experts with extensive experience in RF and EMC measurements, ensuring each component meets the highest standards of precision and reliability. To support our customers throughout the lifecycle of their equipment, we also offer calibration services. Periodic calibration of decoupling clamp helps maintain measurement integrity, ensures continued compliance for both testing and R&D purposes, and contributes to more reliable, repeatable, and trustworthy results.
