New Edition of CIG Operational Documents Published Under the ETICS CIG Inspection Scheme

ETICS has published a new edition of the operational documents used within the CIG Inspection Scheme. These updated documents are now available on the ETICS website.

The revisions were developed by members of the OSM-FIP group and officially approved during the recent ETICS MCCB meeting.

Key updates include:

  • revised document numbering
  • updated and clarified content
  • administrative and editorial enhancements
  • introduction of new definitions for improved clarity
  • rewording of existing requirements for better understanding

(e.g. OD CIG 421, Clause 5.6 – Calibration/Verification of Safety Test and Measuring Equipment)

To support transparency, the new editions are available with tracked changes to help users easily identify all modifications.

  • OD CIG 421 – Factory Inspection Procedures: Harmonised Requirements
  • OD CIG 422 – Section A – Request for Inspection (To be completed by the Certification Body requesting the visit)
  • OD CIG 422 – Section B1 – Pre-Licence Factory Inspection Questionnaire (To be completed by the Licence Holder)
  • OD CIG 422 – Section B2 – Pre-Licence Factory Inspection Questionnaire (To be completed by the Factory)
  • OD CIG 423 – Factory Inspection Report
  • OD CIG 423 – Appendix 1 – Signature Page (Part 1)/Inspection Summary Page (Part 2)
  • OD CIG 423 – Appendix 2 – Additional Quality System Requirements (QMS Appendix)
  • OD CIG 423 – Appendix 3 – Additional Requirements for ENEC+ Agreement
  • OD CIG 423 – Appendix 4 – Inspectors’ Finding/Observation Sheet – Parts 2 and 3
  • OD CIG 424 – Factory Inspection Procedures: Guidance for Certification Bodies, Inspectors, Factories, and Licence Holders

Important:

The use of the revised documents will be mandatory from 1 January 2026.
