SIQ Belgrade Designated as a Conformity Assessment Body under National Railway Technical Regulations in Serbia

23. July 2025

SIQ d.o.o. Belgrade, a member of the SIQ Group, has been actively operating in the Serbian market for several years, specializing in testing and conformity assessment of rail subsystems and elements of structural subsystems related to interoperability.

Among the key projects in which SIQ Belgrade has participated in the testing and verification of rail vehicles according to TSI (Technical Specifications for Interoperability) requirements are collaborations with:
Stadler AG (Switzerland), AO Tvema (Russia), FŠV Goša, Minel General Electric, and Ming d.o.o. (all Serbia), and Antra (Poland).

Recognizing the growing needs of rail vehicle and equipment manufacturers in Serbia and the region, SIQ Belgrade has applied for designation as a conformity assessment body in accordance with national technical regulations (DeBo), under the Law on the Interoperability of the Railway System of the Republic of Serbia.

In September 2024, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia officially designated SIQ Belgrade as a conformity assessment body. This designation was granted for the rail vehicle subsystem (locomotives, passenger vehicles, freight wagons, and special rolling stock) in accordance with the national Rulebook on the Assessment of Conformity of Interoperability Constituents and Verification of Structural Subsystems.

Since the designation, SIQ Belgrade has already verified two subsystems—a locomotive tractor and a diesel-hydraulic locomotive—under national technical regulations, applying SB and SF modules in the verification process.

With this designation and the experience gained, SIQ Belgrade has further extended its scope of services, complementing its existing expertise in electromagnetic compatibility testing, electrical safety, machinery, and management system assessment. This extension enables us to meet the specific needs of different markets and deliver high-quality services both within Serbia and internationally as part of the SIQ Group.
