Inspection is a special type of calibration of a measuring instrument with additional functional tests defined by the Rules on Metrological Requirements, and can be performed only for those instruments for which a type test and a certificate of approval have already been performed in accordance with the Rules on Metrological Requirements type.

For the control of measuring instruments, we obtained accreditation according to the SIST EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 standard as a type A control body by the Slovenian accreditation body SA (Slovenian Accreditation – document no. K-002) and received a decision on appointment to perform conformity assessment procedures. and regular and extraordinary verifications of tire pressure gauges, blood pressure monitors and exhaust gauges.

In accordance with the Rules on the procedure for verification of criteria (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 97/14), verification is a procedure whose purpose is to determine whether the criterion meets the prescribed metrological requirements. If the requirements are met, such a criterion shall be protected and marked with verification marks.

In accordance with the Metrology Act, the verifications are performed by the Office of Metrology of the Republic of Slovenia or an authorized legal entity or sole proprietor, i.e. appointed person. The requirements for appointed persons, the appointment procedure, their tasks and the method of supervision by the Office of Metrology of the Republic of Slovenia are determined by the Rules on requirements, appointment procedure, tasks and supervision of appointed persons in the field of metrology (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia 64/08).

SIQ Ljubljana thus performs verifications in accordance with the appointment decision issued by the Office of Metrology of the Republic of Slovenia and presents the appointment of a person “349” with a three-digit identification number, which is determined by the appointment decision.
